ATM Safety Tips |
PERSONAL SAFETY AT THE ATM TAKES SOME COMMON SENSE!
- BE AWARE OF YOUR SURROUNDINGS. Look around and notice who is
around before you walk up to the ATM. Make frequent checks behind
you while your request is processing. Report any suspicious
persons to Security or Police.
- USE ATMS THAT ARE WELL LIT AND HAVE AN UNOBSTRUCTED VIEW.
- HAVE YOUR CARD READY when you approach the machine. Use
discretion when counting your money and putting it away. Count
your money in your vehicle if others are around.
- SHIELD YOUR PERSONAL IDENTIFICATION NUMBER (PIN). Stand
directly in front of the keypad to block the view of anyone
standing nearby.
- KEEP YOUR RECEIPTS. They contain your account number and may
provide an account balance.
- LET COMMON SENSE BE YOUR GUIDE to help safeguard your personal
safety and privacy.
- IF EVER YOU FEEL UNCOMFORTABLE, GO TO ANOTHER LOCATION. Your
safety is first and foremost.
